He is down to 30 percent oxygen, the level for extubation, and Dr. Sharma is starting him on Viagra this morning. They'll cut the nitrous oxide (I believe I have been misspelling this) back next. He's pooping in his diaper and the internist said his belly sounds good. He is graduating from Pedialyte to Pediasure. So we continue to march down the road of progress.

Praise God for these improvements! Great news about the pediasure. Hopefully that will help Levi feel stronger, too. We will continue to pray for his recovery and for God's peace and strength for the rest of the family.

Dear Larisa and Matt, You are one brave couple and we admire your courage. Levi has been in our prayers from the start, but I am no geek so have not been able to send our comments through. So glad for the encouraging news. Levi was added to the prayer list in church this morning here at Fletcher and at the prayer meeting Wednesday night, as well as our personal friends who are praying also. Praise God for the good news! Grandma KB and Roland.
What wonderful news. God is good! Paul said that God wouldn't test us beyond our ability to endure and will always provide the way out (1 Cor 10:13). I think it was Mother Theresa who said in response to this passage that she wished God didn't trust her so much! I'm sure there have been moments, hours and even days when you've felt the same but Levi is right where he should be- surrounded by your love and faith and I know God will give you the strength to persevere. You all continue to be in our prayers.

I wanted to send an encouragement your way, mom of sick child to mom of sick child. While Levi was having his surgery last week, Evonne also lay in a hospital bed fighting for her life and my prayers were joined together for God to spare and heal them both.
Like you, I did not think I could ever do all that is needed of me in caring for a sick child. I was truly right, I can't. But I take heart daily in 2 Corinthians 12:9; And He said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness." Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.
