Our two week anniversary has been marked with an influx of activity in the pediatric ICU. A restless teen shooting victim and a critically injured 5 year old (he was pulled under a car) were added to the mix. Nurses have been scrambling, monitor alarms are sounding constantly and the staff has seemed a bit strained.

Today, our neighbor, who has been here as long as we have, was taken off the vent. It was a process that involved a team of 5 or 6 people and took nearly an hour. If things continue to go well Levi will be next. Please keep this process in your prayers.

We will be praying that Levi will be taken of the vent soon and that it will go well. Praying that you are feeling better as well. We feel helpless...we know that you have a circle of family and friends close by, but we have experienced a long, critical, hospital stay with a son and know how exhausting it can be. We have never met Levi...but we carry him in our hearts and in our prayers. With love, Milton and Ann
