Levi's progress has been stunted today by respiratory congestion but overall he is doing well. The internist commented that he is markedly ahead of where he was after the last surgery. Dr. Mack, our surgeon, said today's echo looked good, the pressures in his right ventricle are much improved and everything is functioning as planned. Actually he said a lot of stuff about inflows, outflows and what not but the above part is all that I really understood.

I met with the pacemaker rep and and he gave me a scale model of the half dollar size unit that is in Levis upper abdomen. He also gave me some useful information, such as if we linger at a security gate at the airport or between those chip sensors you see at the exit of retail stores Levi "may" pass out and fall on the floor. This is not big deal, he informed me, just drag him away from the interference and his heart will start beating properly again. That's good to know. Also, security officials at the airport may want to "wand" him to find out why he is setting of the alarm but I am not to allow that to happen. I am looking forward to that confrontation.

The cumbersome language and poor sentence structure may have given away the fact that this post is being made by dad. Larisa is headed home to spend some time with the rest of our family.

We are very thankful for all your support and for what God has done so far. Please keep Levi in your prayers, however, as he still has a way to go.

Glad to hear Levi is doing well under the circumstances. I check your blog a few times a day to see how he's doing. I am one of the many praying for him! It sounds like he has a long way to go, but he's on the right track!!!

Although I haven't left a comment in a few days, we have continued to pray for Levi and all of his family. I am glad that his second surgery seemed to go well. We are also praying for a peace that surpassed all understanding for you.
