Two in one

Well, the wireless network is no more in the ICU waiting room, so I waited until we could see Levi to post this.

Talked to the doctor about 12:30 p.m.—everything went well. Dr. Mack repaired the ventricular septal defect and the thickened muscle beneath the pulmonary valve that was restricting blood flow to the lungs. Fortunately, he said there was little damage to actual valve itself. He's still on the ventilator and they have him on a temporary pacemaker, because his heart is still beating a bit slow on its own.

Visiting him in the ICU, he doesn't even look like himself because of the water weight he gained in surgery. And with tubes coming from his mouth, neck, heart and other extremities he's a sight to behold.

The doctor said the next day or so will be critical. But we are really thankful he made it through the surgery.

Thanks to all for your prayers and messages of encouragement. We'll keep you posted on his progress.

Levi,
We have not met you yet but we know your PaPa Fred in Greeneville.
We have been saying BIG prayers for you and have called in a whole bunch of God's angels to watch over you. You will be fine and have a great story to share with your friends.
Love and Lots of Blessings,
